Seeking Our Humanity

Chapter 1 “The sand beneath my feet made me joyously happy and the music of the ocean opened my heart in ways not known before. I felt…” she paused, seeking a word that might adequately explain her sense of self…Eventually she said, “I felt eternal.” Barb paused again, perhaps waiting for a response from me or for more insight from within… “Yes,” she confirmed to herself. “I felt eternal. It was as if I was in touch with the past, the present, and the future, all at the same time. I knew without reservation that there was more and I know this because I had experienced more…more than just this lifetime. My awareness of these lifetimes was vague then and remains vague now, but they existed. I am certain that I existed in these other lifetimes. Some occurred long, long ago, while others were more recent, but I don’t think it even matters when or where these lifetimes were lived or who I was in any of them. What matters is that they transpired. Because I know these other lifetimes existed, I know that life is eternal, and that matters. At least it matters to me!” Chapter 2 “Old Friend, the Earth’s health is declining at an exceptionally rapid pace. She cannot continue without the assistance of those who reside upon her. Some nations and individuals are addressing her issues while others who deny the reality of her situation counteract the positive actions that are in motion. The inhumanity demonstrated astounds all members of the Existential Community. Greed and selfishness lead these misguided individuals towards a point of no return. Their foolishness affects every other life being on the planet including the Earth herself. As you know, my Dear Old Friend, it is the negative energy of the misguided individuals that is the heart of the Earth’s crisis. Their cruel, insensitive ways sicken the Earth, and unless their manners change, she will fall into dormancy. She can no longer sustain herself without the positive energy that once existed among and within the peoples of this planet. Their ill will is destroying her vitality. For millennia, humans have treated one another shamefully. They slaughter their own kind with the same disrespect and disregard as they do other life beings with whom they co-exist upon this incredible Life Being Earth. Their behavior creates a toxic energy so destructive that they infect everyone around them, and the one that incurs the greatest impact from this negativity is the Earth. She feels every insult, every injury, and every outrageous act that humans perpetrate against one another. She is the primary recipient of the negative energy of every action of unkindness that they manifest. The negative energy of the peoples of Earth is the primary toxic pollution that sickens the planet. This factor must be dealt with if the planet is to survive her declining spiral. This factor is one that is not being addressed by anyone at this time, and yet, it is the most important issue that humankind must face. For the sake of their continuance, this reality must be faced now… …Great goodness remains in the hearts of many, and because of this, there is reason for hope. But those who are in touch with the ways of goodness must step forward. They must take the lead. No longer can the energy of the misguided be the way of the peoples of Earth.” Chapter 5 “Please join me, my Dear Old Friends, for a moment of silence for our Beloved Friend Earth. Breathe deeply please, and allow your heart to open to hers. Let the Mother know that you are here on her behalf. In silence be! …In due course, my thoughts stopped invading my silence and I fell silent. I simply was. Where I was, I did not know, nor did it matter. I simply was. With each breath that I took, I felt another’s breath beside me until eventually the breath beside me was within me, and I was One with the breath of the other. We breathed together. We existed together. We were One with the Other… and yet, there was more. And we were One with the More as well. I was. We were. And we all were One. Greater peace have I never experienced. Time escaped me, as I existed in the existence of Oneness.” Chapter 17 “My Friends, there is more for us to discuss this evening. I begin with a phrase that many of you have heard throughout your life at various times in various places. Be in peace! These three words are more important and more powerful than any of you realize. Make these three words your mantra if you will. Keep them near to your heart and share them with all you encounter. For millennia these words have been shared with humankind, and still, the significance of these words remains a mystery to those who hear them. Some become fascinated with this powerful phrase, but not many, and this is so unfortunate. These words are the instructions needed to save the Earth. Be in peace! This day, and tomorrow, and all days to come, be in peace!” Chapter 21 “Each of you, in your own way, recognizes that you are here for a reason. Each has experienced his or her own journey on the way to this present location and now, the journeys of the twelve seekers have purposefully crossed paths at this particular time in this particular place. Ironically, none of you believes in the concept of coincidences. This belief has served you wisely throughout this lifetime and many others. And it does once again now as the twelve of you come together this evening. Perhaps it is appropriate to say Welcome Home Dear Friends. You have arrived at precisely the right time and the right place to fulfill your mission of purpose. We are most grateful for your return and for your commitment to the Life Being Earth.”
