This book serves as an intimate self-inquiry, guiding individuals on a journey towards awakening to Consciousness, the Divine nature, or the Ultimate Reality. Consciousness stands as the Ultimate Reality—an immaterial, conscious, timeless, and infinite essence that transcends our everyday world of three-dimensional space and time. Throughout my life, I have habitually prioritized objects. Yet, through this intimate self-inquiry and discrimination between my true nature and the objects of my experience, between my Ultimate Reality and my sense-body-mind complex, I underwent a paradigm shift to recognize the primacy of Consciousness.
My intimate self-inquiry into my essential nature follows a path of negation, exclusion, and elimination. In this journey, my mind turns away from the objective content of experience (the objects) toward the source or essence from which it arises. At the culmination of this path, I realize that Consciousness, stripped of all objective content, is the "Subject." Thus, I am able to disentangle my true nature from its own activities by redirecting my mind from objective experiences toward their essence or Ultimate Reality. Ultimate Reality is Consciousness, Existence, and unconditional Love—leaving no space for other intrusions. Within this Reality, all human beings, animals, plants, and things emerge, evolve, and eventually dissipate. It is the Eternal "I Am," beyond objectification. Consciousness—the enigma of enigmas! Free from all mental distractions, it exists before and after each thought. It is primordial, the enduring Subject, devoid of beginning, end, cause, support, parts, or change. It is infinite, eternal, absolute, total, immutable, serene, and silent. Serving as the common foundation of all experiences, it is not a byproduct of any specific experience.
Consciousness illuminates the minds of all human beings, and its reflection therein manifests as empirical or personal consciousness, unconditioned and pure at birth. However, every individual's mind becomes heavily conditioned by familial, educational, societal, and environmental influences from an early age.
