Do you have late nights flicking through channels, tossing and turning on your perfect mattress, and flipping your pillow a hundred times before you can get comfortable? You purchase new novels and can’t get through the second chapter because you feel bored. Life is full of strangers, situations, drama, and heartbreak, with the same old story every day. Your body becomes restless, and you strain to figure out what is happening.
Did you know our bodies speak to us before our minds catch on? Our body sends up flares waiting for our mind to spot the S.O.S.
If you are reading this book, then something inside of you is yearning for answers. It could be your quest for self-discovery or maybe you feel out of alignment. Perhaps you display signs of a midlife crisis because of inner conflict. Maybe you feel defeated and helpless and have given up or ignored the signals. Days that used to feel somewhat normal have you questioning everything.
If you haven’t moved past this feeling, it’s no wonder.
We live in a world where toxic positivity and ego get in our way of self-enlightenment. So, I ask (for now), to let the ego take a ride in the back seat. I will help you shed light and activate your spiritual body. She is the guide to living in the present - happy, fulfilled, and peaceful.
If you desperately need encouragement, are looking for a way back, or personal empowerment then let me help. Acknowledging yourself, and the attraction to this book is the first step in accepting that your true self is awakening. I will teach you how to recognise and embrace the lessons of the past, learn to let go and create new habits so you, too, can come out of the shadows and learn to vibrate at a higher frequency. When you do, you will be amazed at what you attract in your life.
We all experience pain at some point in our lives. We may lose a pet as a child or experience the trials and tribulations of adult life. Some pain is insignificant, and then there is profound pain. Pain can be soul-crushing. We have two ways of reacting to this pain. First, we can (and most often do) let it overtake us. We fall into the darkness and live in the shadow of ourselves. We walk through life as alter egos or shells of what we were. For some, this can last a lifetime. However, for others, there is a second path.
Living in the shadows can bring awareness at some point (if we are willing to listen). The universe offers a second path. It is a path of enlightenment - a path of evolution. We can use our time in the shadows as a cocoon to prepare for rebirth. We can build a stronger and more connected self from tragedy and pain. We just have to listen.
If you have experienced pain or difficulty recently, you may have more desire or impulse to change. You see, what sparks a transformation is pain. Something happens in your life, leaving you in complete darkness or utter confusion. Suddenly, you tend to feel more human, more aware than you ever have felt before. Pain is an intense emotion, and feeling emotion brings you into your present self.
You may not understand what is happening now, but your soul is shifting you into alignment. Your soul tends to activate after difficulties.
I want to help you understand the late nights and questioning yourself. The trips down memory lane and the sudden urge to change your appearance are flares from your soul. Don’t ignore the desire to try new things, start a new hobby, or even a new life in a new place. Those urges are messages of permission for you to live more of an authentic life.
It is natural to ignore or suppress pain. We don’t want to feel it, so we focus on the cycle of our twenty-four-hour day. We press on, day in and day out, until twenty-four hours becomes 168 hours, then 672 hours. The hours turn to weeks. The weeks turn to months, which we never get back. At some point, we realise we are not emotionally living an authentic life. We become present with our emotions and listen more than we speak. We give in to the vulnerability.
But, when you begin to awaken, you ask, “why me?” Why did this have to happen to me? Tragedy, profound emotional loss, and life difficulties can leave you isolated and vulnerable. We are on heightened alert for self-preservation. We begin to construct triggers for protection, often not even aware of what is happening.
Triggers can manifest in exercises of questioning yourself or what is happening around you.
Do you ever ask yourself:
Do I sense physical discomfort when someone asks me a question?
Do I feel the need to validate myself?
Why do I always feel the need to correct people who share my story?
Why is it I keep on attracting the same relationships?
Why do I feel so trapped?
Why is life against me?
These triggers are signs of awakening. These signs of awakening often battle against self-preservation. Signs of self-preservation can manifest in co-dependency, going from one relationship to the next, isolating yourself, and continuing to live as a victim.
Once you recognise the manifestations, you can start to understand your life is about you. It is all about understanding your memories, perception, your heart’s desires, where and how to live, and on your own terms. Your past and the pain are lessons to help guide you.
So, own it!
Own your past, your pain, your mistakes—all of it.
