About the Book

In 1998, someone asked me to contemplate the question, “Who am I?” When I removed all the labels such as daughter, wife, mother and teacher and then, even my name too, I realised how vulnerable I was. I wondered what was left of ‘me’? That was the catalyst that began my search for the Greater Me - my eternal Spirit-self. As I searched, listened and read, I gained new belief systems that were wider than religion and more liberating than my social conditioning. The greatest freedom came though, when I finally understood the language of symbols; especially those used in the ancient Marseilles Tarot Pack. I spent almost twenty years exploring the blueprint of the archetypes that are embedded in these cards. Each of the 22 major arcana cards took me on a deep souljourney towards consciousness, knowledge and a change of heart. What I discovered was that I am more than I could ever have imagined and so are you. When we become conscious of painful and inhibiting beliefs that no longer serve us, we begin a journey into loving acceptance of ‘self’ and others too.

About the Author

Meyrene worked for almost 30 years in the field of education. She specialised in teaching children who had barriers to learning and eventually she rose to the position of deputy-head at a school for extraordinary, or specialised, education. She has also spent almost twenty-years exploring the Tarot that led Since her husband retired; after a career spanning more than 40 years in aviation, which included many years as a senior captain on international routes, they began to visit campsites widely through Africa; they still enjoying the sight of the wild life, the landscapes, sunsets, night skies and the many gifts that this beautiful continent has to offer. These ventures into isolated places was where Meyrene began to develop her passion for the 'truths', wisdom and knowledge that the ancient First People of Africa held dear and which were common to many other ancient groups, and sects, of people world-wide who believed in the greatness of Spirit and who honoured Earth, all her people and the creatures too. her to understanding the concept of archetypes. This journey became the blueprint which enriched her journey into self-awareness and provided her with opportunities for growth.
