We Paused The horror of it all, cannot be penned in words, a day that we will not forget, made everybody pause. We paused to remember, loved ones and family lost, we thought about the future, and how much it would cost. Yes, we all stopped and pondered at the horror in the sky, it left us all in shock and pain, as we paused to wonder, why? Why would people be so cruel, with no regard for life? Why would they use innocent people in the center of their strife? Why oh why that is the cry, that's heard from near and far; as we try to make some sense of something that is so bizarre.

About the Book
It’s like taking a stroll through a beautiful garden! The poems are like the flowers you see. They are all different in their appearance. Some give you a sense of joy, some a feeling of sadness, and some just make you think, long and hard. Whatever you are looking for, I hope you will find it in My Garden of Poetry! You can even pick a bunch, and put them all together, to create a beautiful array of emotions!
About the Author
Jeanette Pole Wattley was born on the beautiful Island of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. She is the 2nd of four children, born to Arnold and Rita Pole. She attended Morgan State University for 2 years, but obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marymount Manhattan College, New York, NY. She always loved the arts, and was blessed to develop a love for writing, especially, poetry. Writing poetry became a form of therapy, as she realized how much it helped her to get through many hard times in her life. Though lots of her poems are written about things that she actually experienced, lots of them also come from meeting, interacting, and listening to other people’s stories. She is then able to put those experiences in the written word. She believes that something as simple as a written thought, or word of encouragement, could make a difference in a person’s life. She feels it would be selfish not to share her poetry with others, in hopes that they could find something of value in them, also.
