About the Author
Dr. Gerry Fitzpatrick-Doria is a highly educated and experienced educator. Dr. Doria earned a doctoral degree in Educational Administration, a master of science degree in Educational Administration, a master of education degree in Reading, and a bachelor of science degree in Education. She holds additional certifications in staff development and essential facilitation and a Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility. With more than 30 years in K-12 education, Dr. Doria has served in a variety of educational and administrative capacities, including elementary and middle school teacher, academic coach, elementary school administrator, staff development specialist, and director of instruction. Currently, Dr. Doria is an Assistant Professor at Holy Family University teaching undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. Dr. Doria is a lifelong learner and she is committed to the work of supporting the students, families, and community she serves. She is a "light bringer", who embodies appreciation, empowerment, and integrity. Lauren Yack is a certified school counselor; she has worked at both the elementary and secondary levels during her 13 years in the education field. Lauren has a master of education degree in Counseling Psychology and a bachelor of science degree in Applied Developmental Psychology. Lauren has completed a post-master's certificate in Behavior Analysis and holds a Behavior Specialist license through the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. Lauren has also participated in various behavioral and trauma-informed professional development opportunities. From a young age Lauren knew that she wanted to work in education and her time as a school counselor has allowed her to build relationships and connections with the students, families, staff, and community she serves. Lauren is passionate about helping and supporting others!
