We all know that we have a physical body, but what most people do not know is that we also have a light body—a timeless, energetic essence that connects us to everything in the universe; this is often referred to as our energetic anatomy or energetic body. Together your physical body and energy anatomy form your consciousness. One is not more important or more spiritual than the other; both are needed for our growth and development. In fact, Max Planck, a physicist who originated quantum theory, regarded “consciousness as fundamental” and matter as a “derivative from consciousness.”
I want to emphasize that the physical body is as essential as the spirit, otherwise one would not be in his or her body. I know this strikes a chord for many people, since some interpretations of spiritual traditions emphasize leaving this planet and letting go of the Ego as a priority or a way to reach Nirvana.
However, creation does not make mistakes. If you are here, it is because you are meant to be here for your development. Judging your experience does not bring you closer to Nirvana or Enlightenment. Even the Buddha said, “If a man can control his mind, he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.”
The fact is that what you resist persist and the more you reject and judge your current existence, the more you will get stuck in it. It is far more comfortable and more productive to accept "what is." Acceptance is being open to the moment to moment experience of life and being willing to feel without trying to control it. For example, remember the times when you are looking up at the sky watching clouds? You probably don't get upset that the clouds are not forming into the specific shapes you want or think that they should be someplace better. Instead, there is no resistance to the moment to moment experience; there is only observation and acceptance.
We are also not meant to wrestle with or to try to eliminate our Ego. Contrary to popular belief, our Ego is neither good nor bad. The Ego is part of our consciousness; it is merely the part of us that responds to our surroundings and gives a specific experience (perception or interpretation). In other words, every experience you have is filtered through your Ego, which frames it based on your subconscious beliefs. Your Ego decides if what you are experiencing is good or bad. in other words, something is right for us because the Ego interprets it as is true.
The Ego also takes your beliefs and turns them into reality through our energetic anatomy. Our energetic anatomy is composed of several parts. You may have heard of some of them, such as the aura, chakras, nadis, kundalini, and meridians, amongst others.
All parts of your consciousness—physical or not—are interconnected, and they interact and affect each other, as well as occupy the same space. If one component changes, it affects and changes the rest.
The transmission of energy through these systems is bidirectional. Energy flowing through the meridians gathers information from your cells and emotions and then is transferred in the form of energy to the chakras. The chakras translate this and send all the information collected to the aura, where it gets radiated outward, relaying the quality and vibration of your being. In other words, the energy patterns in your aura are the result of the programs (beliefs) in your subconscious mind in the form of energy.
You interact with different dimensions and realities through the energy of the aura, since it radiates the quality and vibration of your being as a frequency. These realities and dimensions also have a frequency. Like energy attracts like energy. Therefore, this frequency is what attracts to your experience the reality that matches your vibration.
Likewise, frequency coming down the aura gets passed down to the chakras, where this information gets translated to a level that the physical body can assimilate. Chakras move the energy to the meridians, and the meridians make the energy available to your physical body and mind.
Through meditation and other forms of energy medicine, the aura can consciously be programed to attract specific things, people, and events. The strength and state of your aura will determine the strength of your attraction and the kind of events, people, and things that you attract in your life.
In the rest of this book, I will explore each of the components of consciousness in detail, starting with our beliefs, since these are what originally dictated our thoughts, emotions, choices, and ideas, which end up being part of our aura. Therefore, they are the source of our life conditions. This is based on the premise that nothing exists outside of us that we did not create; everything we experience has been created by our beliefs about ourselves and the world, and as such, we have been given the power to change it by changing the mindset that created it. This means you are 100 percent responsible for your health, your life, and the behavior of everyone in it. There is no more blaming our genes, age, your mom, your kids, pesticides, mercury retrograde, astrological sign, cell towers, and so on. Taking responsibility for your life is not about making you feel bad, guilt, or punishment. Instead, it is about empowering you to take back control of your life. There is no need to judge or criticize yourself for your current circumstances. Know that you are always doing the best you can with the limited awareness and beliefs that you have in that moment.
It is very critical for you to be aware that if you could have done better in the past, you would have. All the shoulda, coulda, woulda in your head are your ego's way to protect you from the fear of facing something different, something outside your familiar zone. Unfortunately, if
