Are you ready to join me on this journey? Thank you for joining me, strap in and enjoy the ride. This is a continual journey which may not have an end date at the end of this book. Along this journey, I hope to provide insights, anecdotes and strategies that I have found can be applied to Face Everything and Rise. These strategies are applied at different stages of the journey which we will explore together. It may not mean that we let go of fear completely – this journey is also about being brave. As Neil Gaiman says in his book Coraline – “Being brave doesn’t mean you aren’t scared. Being brave means you are scared, really scared, badly scared, and you do the right thing anyway.”

About the Book
DanThy Nguyen’s journey of change started twenty-two years ago. The catalyst was a near-fatal car accident. She remained in intensive care for six weeks, and medical personnel gave her little hope of survival. DanThy pulled through, but she did not come out unscathed. Alongside the physical reminders of the crash, she suffered an emotional toll. In Face Everything and Rise, she tells the story of her journey of change and transformation. This memoir offers a collection of the things she has learned throughout her life based on the observations of the important people in her world. She applies these elements to the concept of Face Everything and Rise (FEAR). Face Everything and Rise shares the details of DanThy’s experiences as a catalyst to help others navigate their own journey, to push aside the fear and make changes that lead to a more fulfilled and peaceful life.

DanThy Nguyen is a qualified life coach, as well as a Learning and Organisational Development Consultant with a career spanning more than twenty years. She enjoys the creative writing process and regularly blogs as a mother, wife, and student.
