Angels, rise! Take off that veil of misery You’ve been called to soar higher than an eagle flies Your rendezvous with destiny This is your dawn, your age of enlightenment Fly Angel, fly! Up, up, to the sky No time for descent Your time to ascend While Naysayers repent… Oh, they of little faith! The wind is beneath your wings Heaven sent, for Heaven’s sake Angels, rise! Cast your eyes upon the heavens A celestial order for your resurrection True perfection The ultimate Truth resides in you Oh, death where is your sting? Oh, grave you have no victory! Truth crushed to earth has risen The “go-light” has been given Students get your knowledge Students prepare for college Refine your minds to lead, not follow So beautiful you are Perfection in the making, reflections of a Super Star Angels, rise! Shine like diamonds in the rough, But enough of the rough stuff The jealousy, the bickering, the fighting, the killings Rise above the fray, the grit and grime of poverty Go forward my children, be on your way Victory over violence is your mainstay Kill them with kindness! Do know the meek is inheriting the earth Today is the day of your spiritual rebirth -A rare find, a golden mind! Rise, Angel, rise! Jettison that defeated disguise Cries of doom and gloom Of a tortuous monsoon Have no fear with love in your heart A child of God ordained from the start You’ve been called from the grave! Saved by an amazing Grace Put a smile on your beautiful face -This ain’t “burn baby burn” Our motto is “learn, Angels, learn!” Don’t make haste Keep your cool and be schooled -A mind is a terrible thing to waste Angels rise! With a charge to resist the lies, the defeat, The lure of a deceitful spirituality Agape at its purest is the surest path To your promised reality Raise the blinds to an amazing sunrise It’s time to escape the wrath of stinking thinking Who told you you were naked? Who told you you couldn’t make it? Who told you you were forsaken That you’re not good enough? That you don’t have the right stuff? The devil lies … But he cannot deny I am who I am I gave you birth, and I will show you your worth, The Truth, the Life, and the Way Your spiritual GPS Just say yes to a stupendous Love, endearing hugs But no to guns, hate, deceit, self-defeat Darkness and ignorance didn’t give you life, They aren’t authorized to take it away! Angels rise! Keep your head to the sky For the answers to all of life’s mysteries lie deep inside Your heart, your mind, your soul Beautiful child, you are my gold! I died for you way back when But I rose from the dead so you would win Believe in your greatest power within, my dearest little friend Angel, Rise! Angel, Rise! Angel, Rise! Angel, Rise! Angel, Fly!
