About the Book

Explore and learn about nature with Skipper the Squirrel, an energetic, curious little squirrel. Skipper loves adventures and wants you to experience this fun-filled, action-packed day with him! In Skipper’s most recent adventure, he meets a young boy named Willie and his dad, William. Willie and his dad are at a local park, hiking the park’s trail, when they meet Skipper. Being the fun and friendly squirrel he is, Skipper captures the hearts of Willie and his dad instantly. The three of them enjoy their day finding new and exciting adventures around every corner. Everything from various types of wildlife encounters to stumbling upon a peaceful flowing creek, which flows into a waterfall and cave. During the day, many types of wildflowers and plants seem to bloom in front of their eyes. Skipper runs into some friends and has a blast whizzing around in the trees. Willie had no idea hiking would be this much fun! Please join Skipper for a fun-filled hiking adventure.

About the Author

Amanda Jean has always had a spot in her heart for expressing her emotions through writing. Amanda created Skipper the Squirrel shortly after the birth of her first daughter. During this time she lived in scenic Northwest Arkansas, which provided her with the inspiration to write the book. In 2011, Amanda graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock majoring in professional and technical writing and media production and design. She currently resides in Central Arkansas with her husband and their three daughters. She is in the process of developing an animated television series and companion website built around the character of Skipper the Squirrel.
