No sooner did I say that when a man walked up to us. "Ah, I see you have found the magical collar. You know this coin on the collar is very old. It is said to have magical powers and any animal who wears it will become powerfully changed." "What kind of change"? i asked. He laughed and said it was just an old Hawaiian story. "How much is it"? I questioned him. I knew that JOBI just had to have the collar., but if it was too expensive Mom would never go for it. " For you young lady it is on special for $8.99". "Can we get it Mom"? I could hardly control my excitement. "Okay if Faith and Stephen like it too. Luckily, both Faith and Stephen thought both the collar and coin were cool too. I couldn't wait to get home and try it on JOBI. When we returned home from our vacation the first thing I did was get the collar out of the suitcase and put it on JOBI. "JOBI, come here, I have something for you". JOBI bounced in and was excited. He sniffed at the collar and turned away. He really didn't seem that excited. " Come on boy, we got you a new collar. It's going to look great on you"! I put the collar on JOBI and in that Moment there was some kind of flash. I don't know if it was my imagination or what, but something strange happened.

About the Book
Jobi and the Magic Collar is a story narrated by an eight-year-old girl named Grace. While vacationing in Hawaii, Grace discovers a collar with an ancient coin tagged on it and asks her parents if she can buy it for her dog Jobi, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever. Her parents relent and purchase the collar. Upon returning home, Grace places the magic collar around Jobi’s neck. Suddenly, Jobi talks. No one believes Grace. Finally, Jobi talks to the entire family and imparts words of wisdom. The reader is left to wonder: can Jobi talk because of the collar, or could he talk all along?
About the Author
David K. is an attorney, professional life and business coach, and a parent who loves children. He decided to write a children’s book series that would appeal to children aged 5-11. He desired to bring powerful lessons and teachings that appealed to children and adults alike while creating an interesting tale.
