{ At long last, my pigheadedness paid off. I remember it like it was yesterday, that snowy March evening in 2006. My dad, Meredith, and I drove into Rochester, a good thirty-five miles, to sign the closing papers on the farm. Not just any farm, our farm. There were 117 acres of heaven on earth. I do not know why this farm was so different from any other; it just was. It called “home” to me as God would beckon his children home. There was a haunting feeling—like a pull in my gut, like a déjà vu—a familiarity and sense of belonging. Spring erupted and dropped Mother Nature smack dab into our laps. Her plush, velvety gown of green covered the earth, with vibrantly colored drops poking their heads through in the shapes of crocuses, forget-me-nots, and every other wildflower you could dream of. Spring also brought with it my working papers. Having grown up on a dairy farm, I was no stranger to hard work and, thankfully, had a somewhat working knowledge of farm life. The farm, having not been worked in twenty years or better, had eight fields overtaken with weeds, saplings, and hundreds of English wild rosebushes. The rosebushes were over six feet tall; they went up past the top of the tractor’s hood. All this bramble was certainly not going to let my hay crop grow. }

About the Book
A modern day young woman takes a trek into beautiful Letchworth State park on horseback. After being thrown and suffering a blow to the head, she regains consciousness and finds herself in the late 1700s. Even stranger, she is in a male body - a Seneca Indian medicine man named Brown Feather. As him, she teaches the tribe and the reader about Ego versus Soul, The Law of Attraction, and how to manifest your desires into reality- all of which transform her life and the Seneca tribe Brown Feather grows to love so dearly. The tale also shares a little bit of local western New York as well as the basic fundamentals of natural medicine.
About the Author
My life experiences, natural gifts and knowledge inspired the writing of this book. The ups and downs, and personal losses led me to seek and learn more of what I could do to make my life a more joyous, prosperous and contributing life. I have lived my entire life in rural Western New York state. I have five older brothers and sisters . We have all suffered the loss of two amazing , loving, warm and compassionate people, we were blessed to call Mom and Dad. I was taught by these beautiful souls to love and to love deeply, appreciate nature, and all of its denizens. Moms love of nature is what led me to writing. When she became unable to walk and enjoy the outdoors, I learned to drink in every detail I was experiencing when i was out doing barn chores, cutting wood or some other outside venture. I took note of all the things I felt she would enjoy and came in at the end of the day sharing with Mom every detail of my encounters so she felt like she was there with me. This taught me to be able to place the reader of the book right alongside of me. Thank you, Mom and Dad, I love you with all my heart and soul and I miss you each day.
