Nancy Horenburg—Illustrator
Nancy Horenburg has been immersed in art since early childhood. From painting and crafts to martial arts, these arts have been and are an integral part of her life. Using words, watercolour, clay, food and movement to express her creativity, she wishes to portray and express the beauty, fun, inspiration and mystery that surrounds us everywhere we are.
The martial arts philosophy of health, fitness, character development and body, mind, spirit harmony has inspired her in her life. It has greatly contributed to all areas of her life as a martial art and fitness instructor, artist, vegan, raw food and organic chocolate creator, and a lover of animals and nature.
As well as being a Virtues Project™ Facilitator, a Capacitar International Facilitator, and a Tellington TTouch® Practitioner, she is an educator for Partners in Botho Project (an NGO founded by Nancy and Françoise Horenburg) for the children of Mokatse/Modipane villages. Twice a week she volunteers her time to provide the kids with games, martial arts, arts and crafts, character development and various other activities that promote health, wellbeing and moral/ethical behaviour.
She lives with her mother, Françoise, in the village of Mokatse, on the land of Botswana, where she has been for the past 30+ years
Nancy ultimately aspires to live a life like a work of art, a life of harmony; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually; all the while living to the tune of Earth’s song.
