About the Book

Three year old Sam learns of his beloved grandmothers move to Heaven. Given his innocent age, he thinks literally when his mother tells him he can still talk to grandma Angela in Heaven, which is way up in the sky. Sam goes on an imaginative adventure, plotting creatively bold ways to talk to his grandmother from so far away. 

Can You Hear Me In Heaven? is that of a darling, lighthearted tone, meant to gently assist any grown up in explaining death to a child through love and whimsey.

About the Author

Anna Ames fell in love with writing as a child, and became a published poet at 13. Through writing, she received a college scholarship where she majored in English education and psychology. She also graduated from Chicago’s Soma Institute of Clinical Massage Therapy.

Anna lost loved ones at an early age and understands the void their departure can bring. Fusing writing with her healing background allows her to share the deep knowingness and comfort we all carry; that we are part of something larger than ourselves.

Anna is a teacher and practitioner of alternative medicine and energy work. She lives in Chicago.
