Looking
Looking at me do you see That I’m no different than you Looking at me do you see The lonely and worries of the world
In this imperfect world of ours The storms of life will surface And when they do We will get bumps and bruises
Though we realize there is always a rainbow If we have the patience to find it
This is when we learn to lean on others This teaches us how to find the learning experience in the storms So that it is easier when the next storm surfaces
Though leaning on others is a sign of humility This is not done lightly Because of what is at stake
The person you’re leaning on Has to have a humble heart Because they know what is at stake

People with disabilities are looked at as second class citizens by some Because of their disability How we look or sound may be changed by our disability Though the things we want are the same as anyone else
Our strength lies in our ability To turn our weaknesses into strengths We work to attain the acceptance of society

About the Book
This book was written in the hopes of helping returning veterans and others with brain injuries see that life is not over when you are diagnosed with this condition. With the help of my church, I started an advocacy group to help me with my trips to Washington, DC to speak with members of congress.
About the Author
Mr. Jones-Marshall is quick witted and willing to do whatever is necessary. He is appreciated by his co-workers. He’s an individual who never lets the word “no” stop him when it comes to his advocacy work. His advocacy work has earned him the respect of the different individuals he’s met with and works with. He also doesn’t allow others to give up on themselves or what they are doing.
