When The Soul Is Lit

IntentionsIt is my passionate intent to bring the material in this book in a way that is precisely simple and yet profoundly educating to the soul on its progressive journey into the divinized human. As you embark on your own journey, I offer these insights from my own experiences in hopes that it brings you strength to go beyond any fears, knowing that this is what we are all now called to do.My deepest prayer is that those who are ready to respond will find that these words ignite their soul to become lit on fire with their passionate intent - enabling them to then assist others into becoming the new human.
Chapter 1 – The Process of Being LitWhen the soul is lit, what does that mean? How does a soul become lit? Each one of our souls has the capacity to be lit as a torch of light for the Divine. Coming into that blissful state is what I so passionately wish to portray in this book. The basis of the lit soul is so simple – it has always been so simple – and yet we as humans see it as complex and even unreachable, and we are highly suspicious of it as a reality.In order for the soul to be lit by the Divine Force we must first evolve past the egoic self. The soul leads us into a journey that through years of recognizing and releasing the old egoic perceptions of ourselves and others, we ready ourselves to be an instrument of the Divine Will.Much has been written for those on the journey into their spiritual path about the stages that the soul progresses through. In my first book, One Soul’s Journey, a Mystics Way Home, I describe from my own experiences how the soul evolves its way through the awakening to becoming an instrument in union with the Divine .The soul must first come into a wake-up movement when the egoic illusions are recognized. Deepening realizations of ourselves begin to come into our conscious awareness and we begin to see glimpses of truth. When we come into contact with truth, our lives change and life around us changes too. With spiritual awareness and some knowledge learned, we enter a phase we can call the “soul imposter.” It is during this time that we still fall into egoic ways that are not yet detected. We are not yet familiar with the soul and act through our personality soul. We can get small glimpses of the Divine Self, which leads into a purification process; this phase sometimes lasts for many years. When we have started to bring the light of truth in, all that is not truth in us will need to be transformed. My favorite quote from Rumi is so wonderfully applicable at this stage of our evolution: “If you are irritated by every rub, how will your mirror be polished”. The dark night of the soul is an extension of the purification stage and it is the most challenging of all of the phases. We are given the opportunity to experience the depths of our dark actions and our dark selves that still linger deep within by situations that will expose them. After emerging from the dark night, some of the lessons that call to the soul are forgiveness and humility. The grace that comes from prayer and truly praying is the only way to shine through this rough but necessary phase. Through prayer, we learn patience, endurance, and gratitude. Once the soul strengthens itself through practicing these soul qualities we learn how to be of service as an instrument. Further on our journey, after again being purified in the mind, heart, soul, and body we continue to evolve into the next phase that humanity has been called into becoming … the soul lit on fire as the Divine Human. The Divine Human is one who has left all old patterns, beliefs, and thoughts behind and who has found a new way to do everything in his/her life differently. Not only have they left everything “old” behind, they have also transcended all illusions and what society would call human tendencies. In other words, they no longer participate or have any earthly desires. For the Divine Human, the need for making things happen in their life as they used to no longer exists because the truth of worldly illusions has been recognized and acted upon. The Divine Human is acutely aware of the responsibility of every choice they make in their daily lives, knowing that each choice is made from the truth consciousness that now has become them and become the perception of universal forces. This new way is from a grounded, focused, mindful, and compassionate way of being in the world. The Divine Human is one who is congruent in every area of his/her life. Having true congruency in all of the Divine Human’s relationships and business interactions provides a sacred stability and harmony for others, enabling them to also change. There are more and more of us who are participating in these amazing changes, and those who have progressed through all of the soul stages and have begun the next phase of humanity live in a state of original innocence; in other words, they have returned to the pre-egoic state of being just as they were in the womb.
