Chapter 2 The Wakeup Call
Whose life is this? Why am I so Stressed? Why am I so Unhappy? Why do my relationships keep failing? Why do I lose weight only to gain back even more? Why is there never enough money? If you find yourself asking these questions or making any of these statements it may be your wakeup call! These are messages, an alarm signal, from your Spirit that you are not living true to your Self, true to your Spirit. Take a moment to read through the following and feel if you can identify with any of these questions and statements: “Is this all there is?” I have reached my perceived successes professionally, in my career, now what? I am turning a milestone age 30, 40, 50, 60 or 70, am I were I want to be? My family and spouse are content, but what about me? I have accomplished many goals and consider myself successful, but I still feel there is something lacking or missing from my life, like there is more for me to do. “Now what?” The kids are grown and have their own lives, I feel lost, I need to fill my days. My spouse pasted away, I need to create a new life, I need direction. I am divorced, I have my life back, no more
Chapter 4 My Reality, My Responsibility
You create your reality! What your life is today is a creation of Your Thoughts and Your Actions Thoughts = Reality
How do you change your reality? We start by taking responsibility for our life, only then can we begin to create the life we desire. Create a new reality. Why do we stay disconnected, stuck for so long, when changing our life is as easy as changing our thoughts? Fear! Fear of the unknown is more painful than the unhappy life we are currently living. Being unhappy, staying stuck is easier because it is safe, we know this life, and in a backward way, the pain is more comfortable than the fear of reaching for happiness and failing, or worse yet, succeeding! What would we do if we actually achieved and received all we desired? Could we handle it? From a place of Love yes, from a place of Fear no. For positive change the first step is to accept responsibility for your life, responsibility for your choices and responsibility for the current life you have created. Accept the responsibility that you decide, you choose; you create your own reality. Accept that you no longer play the role of a victim in your own life.
Practice 1 Awaken Your Spirit
As we discussed earlier, true happiness comes from inside of us. External factors, possessions or persons cannot provide us with lasting happiness. External influences can enhance our experiences, enrich our lives, but only we can create true happiness for ourselves and that true happiness is on the inside, which is reflected on our outside. You Choose How You Feel! Do you want to feel happy? If the answer is “Yes!” then you must choose to awaken your spirit! There are many ways to awaken your Spirit. You can begin right now by standing or sitting up straight, shoulders back, chest out, lift your chin up, take in a deep breath and SMILE! Did you feel the change in your ‘state’? The words ‘ change in state’ as used here, are similar to a status check in on the emotional temperature of your mind and body, for example after you changed your physical positioning you may have felt a little happier, a little more calm. When you make a simple change to your state for example by putting a smile on your face, you have already begun to change your mood to a happier higher energy vibration. To awakening your Spirit you must move your body to get your energy flowing and raise your energy vibration! Simple methods to awaken you Spirit are dance, walk, swing and sway, clap your hands, roll your shoulders, just get your body moving! Singing is another higher energy action that will awaken your spirit. Awakening your spirit
