We are part of our own spiritual legacy, and all of us have amassed knowledge and carry experiences that stem from far beyond our mortal years. There is far more to our life and learning than just the brief moments of this particular period of existence than we could possibly know or imagine. Opening our eyes to our own legacy of Spirit is but one part of that process.
We are all part of one unified spiritual journey realised and nurtured by this universe in which we make our progress through our physical existence. Each and every one of us is on our own personal quest for some truth and understanding with regard to our purpose and role within all that we are and all that we may one day be.
We are driven to find and realise a meaning to our life, to discover the pathway upon which we may take those tentative steps toward personal growth and progress. This is not merely a physical desire but a part of who we truly are.
The need to know ourselves, to seek knowledge and purpose is not merely a part of our physical nature, but is a fundamental aspect to our true spiritual self. Our Spirit is not merely attached to us in this life, but is the eternal part of us that lives and learns beyond the transient nature of this physical presence. Our Spirit has chosen this life and this incarnation to once again be part of a physical realm and to experience all those moments of physical existence, for good or ill, in order that it may grow and learn.
In experiencing all that we can in this physical life, and by working and living through not only the positive but also the negative moments that we face, we nourish all aspects of our self.
Our challenge is to learn to recognise the essence of our true Spirit that lies within us at every moment and turn of the journey, for good or ill. To see beyond the mere physical life and to never let go of this connection to the spirit within, by finding the potential growth within even the most difficult of circumstances is often the key to truly finding and connecting to our true, loving, spiritual self and nature.
As we are spiritual beings living a physical life, it is only natural that we can and do become easily become lost with regard to our true spirit and purpose within. In the need to preserve and protect the values we feel important to this physical existence, we often forget the light that we carry that is our true spiritual self.
Within these moments lie the greatest challenges for us to work with and overcome wherein the light of our Spirit truly begins to shine through and banish the darkness we create and the limits that we place upon ourselves.
This true spiritual light which is our true loving self cannot ever be extinguished, it cannot be tarnished, and it will always burn with a desire for understanding and learning. As each and every spirit within us rises to face the challenges placed before it, we are able to grow in so many wonderful ways.
Under a combined banner and purpose, so many have sought to establish and spread the word of a simple truth to the people of our world. Regardless of source or culture the message that our soul and spirit lasts eternal and that there is indeed more to our lives on this physical plane of existence, has always been in the consciousness of every living soul.
Spirit, and the methods and teachings of the messages of Spiritualism that have occurred throughout the ages, have always been around us. Those in Spirit have always sought to guide and direct us toward realising our potential with regard to the pursuit and understanding of our true spiritual selves. Always they have worked ceaselessly to promote the awakening of the spiritual legacy of each and every being.
Recorded throughout history are tales given by the wisest of sages from the very oldest of civilisations. Messages of hope and personal spiritual development have been passed to us from a variety of enlightened souls such as Silver Birch, Confucius, the Buddha and Jesus.
All these individuals have one unifying factor in their wisdom; each and every one opened themselves up completely to the divine source of all love and humanity.
Within the teachings and messages of philosophy and truth, they have always spoken not with regard to the deeds and accolades of physical world, but with regard to the nature of our spirit and soul that resides not externally but within our own eternal being. The words and wisdom taught to us identify that spiritual growth does not need religion and dogma but is about universal love of a divine nature and the connection that we share to that source.
Within the understanding of our spiritual connection, the development of the process of communication has never been intended to cause hurt or harm or ill feelings by those who provide it. The messages have always been one of hope and continued existence beyond this life. They have been messages from one soul to another to encourage learning, trust and perhaps to remind us of our actual purpose in this place and time that we call our life.
Today, in this modern era, where the search for technology has overshadowed the understanding of the spiritual path laid out before us, the message was not delivered to a single soul but was given to many. All across the world our spiritual brethren reach out to us from Spirit with a simple message of for any who like those pioneers who have come before us, have the courage to step into this earth realm and live a physical life. This message is, like all great things, a very simple one, “Hello”, “we are here”, “we always have been here”, “we are well and we love you and it is time to move forward”.
