Stained Glass Windows
They say that the eyes are the windows to the spirit
When they cry you may see but you can't always hear it
No matter the color be it brown, green or blue
The reflected emotions are no less than true
What the heart feels the eyes will reflect it,
Whatever you're feeling, you can expect it...
To show in your eyes, the way that you feel
Even your mirror will tell you its real
This is only true if you just came to know it
That what is inside you, your eyes may show it
This fact I learned many years in the past
So now my souls windows are made of stained glass
To hide my poor heart from all those who can't see
But try as I may I can't hide it from me....

Home
Home is a place my soul only knows
And the yearning to return there constantly grows
Here I feel trapped & so out of place
There, everyone can put your name with your face
You never feel fear or the threat of danger
You don't feel secluded, scared or like a stranger
Sorrow's unheard of & no heart feels lonely
Love abides, you don't feel like the only...
One in the center, hiding your eyes
Trying to silence your hearts lonesome cries
For a home that your soul is sure you belong
Like music that completes your hearts hopeful song
Of a burning within you that constantly grows
For the home you can't name but your soul well knows.

No Limit
I've heard all things must come to an end
Be they good, bad or a perfect blend
But this I've found cannot be true
For my love will never end for you
It wont stay the same nor fade away
But grow stronger for you every day
Like a star that shines so bright
Let it comfort you in your darkest night
When in your sleep, sweet dreams have crept
Its because within my heart you're kept
Just know that I'm within yours too
And there's no limit on my love for you.

Paradise
Once I sought paradise but was soon made aware
With you by my side I am constantly there
For no man made wonder nor landscape divine
Could do what you do for this heart of mine
You warm up my heart & set my soul free
Without you I'm less than the best I can be
You're the winds that I soar on to a place that it seems
I thought could only be found in my dreams
Yet you gave it life & then opened the door
Inviting me in to so far more
Cloaked in compassion & veiled by your love
What more could I ask for or ever dream of
To me your love is an open sea
Where I'd love to drown & be set free
Released to your heaven, to forever abide
For my paradise is at your side.

About the Author
Kias Emmanuel Creech believes that poetry is the language of the soul and that we all speak the language, whether by writing or reading. Further, he feels it to be an art form and a tool for healing. Literary Coffee Break was written with the intention of connecting with readers and making this both his book as well as theirs; a piece of his heart and soul to share with friends, family, friends who have become his family, and begin spreading it to others.
