I received an urgent call from the ranch where I boarded my horse. It seemed that the ranch owner’s horse had been caught in some wire and injured on a t-post. Could I come out after work and tell her if she should call the veterinarian? Susan, the ranch owner, was new to horses and didn’t know what to do for her horse. I left work and hurried out to the ranch not knowing what to expect. My heart sank as I approached the mare. I saw just to the left of the right front leg was a large deep wound into the mare’s shoulder. It was oozing blood and the mare stood stiffly like horses do when they are in tremendous pain. I told the owner to call the veterinarian ASAP.
Seconds later my cell phone rang. It was my friend Aurora and she said, “Judy, Where are you? There is a horse trying to talk to you.” The statement stopped me still in my tracks. My friend Aurora is an energy worker and I wasn’t sure I understood what she did and how she just knew things. I said carefully, “I’m standing here at the barn next to Susan’s horse, Jazz. She is badly injured.”
Aurora said, “I see a hole beside her right leg.” The hair on my neck lifted as I realized there was no way Aurora could have known this information. I quietly said, “Absolutely, that’s exactly where it is. It’s pretty bad.”
Aurora repeated her statement, “She’s trying to talk to you.” All of a sudden, I could feel this huge rush of energy that came out of the wound and into my left hand and up my arm. I said, “Oh my gosh, Aurora, there is huge energy coming out of the mare and running through me. What should I do?” Aurora told me, “Hold your right hand out pointing your index finger down and away from your body.
The mare was in such pain she wouldn’t allow me to touch the deep wound. So I held out my left hand about a foot from the wound and my hand just started vibrating or buzzing with the energy from the horse. I raised my right hand up above my shoulder and the energy just raced through me and out my right hand.
I moved my right hand in an up and down motion as the energy poured out of Jazz and through me. It would get stronger if I held my right hand down and weaker with my right hand up. Aurora who was still on the phone with me repeated her request, “The horse is talking to you and she wants you to help her. Judy help her with the pain.”
Feeling the energy rush, I asked Aurora, “Am I healing or what am I doing?”
Aurora stated, “You are releasing the pain and the energy from the wound trauma. What you are doing will allow her to relax and heal better.”
I stopped when the veterinarian arrived and gave my attention over to assisting the vet. The vet gave Jazz the pain medicine, Butte, two times before the mare would allow him to touch her wounds. Fortunately he had lights on his truck because it was 10:30 that night before he finished working on the deep wound, the other cuts, and rope burns.
It was a late March night, so the horse owner and I were very cold and hungry by the time the vet left. We put the mare in the round pen to isolate and protect her from my horse and left her with water. The vet said the Butte would wear off in several hours.
My husband Terry, bless his heart, had some hot soup ready for me. After eating I crawled into bed and fell sound asleep. Somewhere in the night, I woke up knowing something had called me. I heard very clearly, “I hurt.” and my left hand started vibrating like it had at the barn.
Sleepily I said, “Okay, Jazz.” I raised one hand above my pillow and one hand out toward her wound seeing it again in my minds eye. I let the energy flow out until I fell back asleep. I don’t know how I knew it was the mare. I was so sleepy I didn’t try to analyze what was happening. I just knew Jazz had called me and in my minds eye I saw her and knew what she needed.
I woke up the next morning and was telling my husband what happened. Then it hit me; a horse had called me and talked to me! The animals have been talking to me ever since.
