US Copyright Registration

Registering your work with the US Copyright Office provides you with peace of mind as well as a public record of your ownership of the material. With the US Copyright Registration service, Balboa Press will complete and submit the necessary paperwork to the US Copyright Office with a copy of your book. Once registration is complete, you will receive an official certificate that verifies your book’s coverage under US copyright regulations.

Steps/fulfilment timeline:

  •   Copyright forms are completed and sent to the US Copyright Office with a copy of your book.
  •   It takes 6 to 12 months for the author to receive the completed Certificate of Registration from the copyright office. Balboa Press will receive digital notification when the certificate is sent.

Note: This service can be purchased together with the publishing package or during the submission of the manuscript. This cannot be purchased for book titles that are already published.
