LEGACY OF THY FATHER A post war world has found world peace through the fulfillment of the prophecy of the rise of the son of a great king of old. There are factions and separatists here and there but overall the greater whole are built on strong foundations of loyalty to the higher powers that be. Order had been restored. But in a few places there were secluded members of the defeated. One territory was that of the Humalumpkidans. Their neighbors were a small group of surviving Maglurians. It was the Maglurians, a metal worshiping culture, that overtook the Humalumpkidans, who enslaved and exterminated other Munchgalumptagans many wars ago. Some families found forgiveness as a path and intermingled then created families of their own. But both cultures were stained by their actions. And those who were not happy with the intermingling decided to end the growing territory of Interminglers. A young couple, Dilyla and Archelio happened to be a new couple on a romantic journey to see a famous waterfall several days away. When they returned home they were not ready to see their community crumbled, highlighted by flames. Dilyla, the daughter of the bloodline of the fallen king of the Maglurians ran to her people. Archelio, the son of the bloodline of the fallen king of the Humalumpkidans, ran to find any survivors of his people. They would meet no less than a day later as the sole survivors. Holding hands they stood atop a hill looking down on the remnants of their bloodlines. “It’s all over. Our lives are all over.” Dilyla said. “Never. We will build a new legacy from these ashes. We will live on for them.” Archelio said.
