I didn’t really grow up reading the likes of Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickinson or any of those other poets that may be on others’ top 5 lists. I grew up listening to the greatest idols of many young boys that age—LL Cool J, Will Smith, Tupac and other lyricists who speak their truth through music. Back in the day, that was how we wrote poetry. That was how we spoke feelings. We got together with friends and spit bars about reality, the world around us and how we perceived life. I know those rappers were a huge inspiration for how I came to love poetry and writing. Chase Kinawa Coral is the author of “Finding Your Twinkle: When Stars Align, True Love Ignites.” In poems intended to touch the heart and unlock fears about falling in love, Coral explores how the inspiration, support, and true love of a woman can inspire a man’s heart to feel and express his deepest and most secretly held desires. Throughout his collection, Coral explains love languages, soul reunions, and the different stages of twin flames while depicting exotic images intended to stir the soul of anyone fascinated with the themes of love, lust, and blissful infatuation.
