A Lesbian’s Awakening to Purpose, Self-Love, and God

My life’s purpose is to assist others in awakening their soul to Divine Love & Truth. As the soul awakens it gradually begins to grow and expand. This expansion leads the soul to the liberation of its higher self. As awareness expands, the soul begins a journey to awaken its authentic self. This journey is an intuitive path and is spiritual in nature. This path is one of light, love, acceptance, and forgiveness. To ascend on this path, the soul must gain enlightenment, knowledge, and higher conscienceness. As the soul awakens, it begins to understand itself and its purpose for incarnation. These reasons fluctuate depending on the souls desire. Some souls come to learn lessons while other souls come to assist humanity in their great spiritual awakening. Our experiences here on earth provides us with many opportunities to expand and learn how to love. Our higher selves beckons the soul to awaken to its authentic self. That spark that God created long ago. An awakening requires that we embrace the concept that we are one with source. We are never alone or separated. To know thy self is to liberate thy self. To free the soul it must awaken to its divine state as God originally intended. Life on earth provides the soul with many experiences in hopes that it will awaken and return back to God. The soul must learn how to discern truth from fiction. This task can be difficult in human form. We are inundated with ages of ancestral, social, and religious belief ideology. The liberation of the soul requires a deconstruction of old beliefs that are no longer serving us. We must begin to embrace new understandings about the laws and principals of life. These new understandings will assist the soul's ascent in higher consciousness that is needed for the soul to mature. Our souls must awaken before we are able to grasp higher knowledge. I traveled this same path. In my early days, I succumbed to the patriarchal teachings of the Catholic church and their influence on my father’s family’s religious beliefs and social norms. Intended or not these standards taught me that boys were more valuable than girls. I didn’t understand at the time. I felt less valuable and unwanted at times. I just wanted to spend time with my father. At that age, something inside me needed to feel special and loved by him. My father’s families rigid social norms around gender identity and gender expression was only the beginning of my experience as a lesbian. These social norms continued as I grew up. I tried to assimilate into these rigid social norms. In doing so, I also was suffocating that person God had created. I fell in love and was soon confronted head on with my identity as a lesbian. This path eventually led my soul to liberation. I hope this book will be an inspiration to many who are struggling to embrace their true authentic selves around sexual orientation to include any and all those who identify outside binary social norms.
