Introduction Journey into Knowledge is the story of my developing relationships with my group of spirit guides. Over time I began to understand why we are here and how to grow and improve our lives. Working with a group of hypnotherapists, I would go into a meditative trance. The hypnotists would ask questions of my guides, and I would receive answers from these higher beings. These fascinating and revealing responses formed the basis of the book. We are all loved, watched over, protected, and connected by our spirit guides. Everyone can communicate with his or her guides. I recommend working with a certified hypnotherapist or hypnotist, as they can ease you into a trance and introduce you to your guides. A hypnotherapist or hypnotist typically desires to help us connect with our spirit guides so we can learn the answers to our questions, gain knowledge about ourselves and find out if we are on our correct life path. March 24, 2015 My hypnotherapist asked my guide, “What should I [Kate] write in the introduction to my book?” The answer was, “We (people) are wrong to hope to be united with God at death. We are always connected. God is here, right next to us and in every cell. Focus on God, the keeper of all souls. We are all connected to each other through God and our guides. Souls are eternal, so beautiful and fragile, yet powerful. God treats them all so gently. God and our guides want people to get in touch with their guides.” One way to communicate with spirit guides is through meditation and simply asking questions. A form of meditation is genuine prayer. We are much loved, and our guides want to help us grow and find our correct path as we travel through this life. If you ask the guides questions, you must listen for the answers. They want to communicate with us, and I think it is beautiful that everyone who wishes to find their path can do so by connecting with their individual guides. The hypnotherapist asked another question: “Why don’t we already know ourselves that we have loving, wise, familiar guides always with us?” The reply was: “We’re too hard on ourselves, as most of us think we are not worthy of being spoken to by higher beings, so we don’t listen to our guides or follow our instincts. However, those who have love for themselves are better able to hear messages.” According to our guides, we worry needlessly over various missteps, however large or small. These insignificant transgressions have no impact on the growth of our souls. The guides, however, are very opposed to any form of violence. They do not comprehend the choice to hurt other beings. “How can we stop being so hard on ourselves?” asked the hypnotist. The answer was “Get in touch with your guides. You might be too busy and might not take the time to meditate, so you are not hearing the many messages meant for you. Your instincts provide plenty of natural messages.” The next question was “How can people find their guides?” The response was, “Through meditating, asking questions and listening for the answers and messages.” The hypnotherapist asked a final question, “How can people tell the difference between a guide’s answer and their own thoughts?” The guide said, “The answers will surprise them. They will differ from the way your mind normally functions. We discover we know so much more than we’re aware of. Over time, one’s ability to receive messages will increase, leading to more faith that the messages are true.” A main purpose of our guides is to love and help us. They want us to know that whatever we do or how we choose to do it is not wrong; it could just be better. They are never critical, just immensely loving, insightful, and surprisingly witty.

About the Author
Kate holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Barnard College, Columbia University (1981) and was certified as a professional hypnotherapist in 2013 from the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT). These two seemingly diverse careers occurred during her thirty-plus years of immersion and ongoing exploration of self-hypnosis and by connecting, learning, and recording messages from her spirit guides. Kate began a career on Wall Street as a security analyst in 1981 at Oppenheimer & Co, Inc. Forever curious, she excelled at researching data, interviewing senior bank management, estimating earnings, and providing the brokerage firm’s investment options for the major US banks. Over her long, illustrious career, Kate was among the top financial services analysts in the country and was named a Wall Street Journal All-Star Analyst. In her most recent work before retirement, Kate was a deputy manager at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. And she was a managing director at Sandler O’Neill Partners, LP. She retired at age forty, less than a month before September 11, 2001. The day of the September attacks, where she worked at Two World Trade Center on the 104th floor, sixty-eight of her coworkers perished and returned to their true home. While Kate adored the work, the long hours and constant travel took a toll on her physical body. Wherein she entered her second career, professional patient. She excelled in this field as well, picking up over 45 medical titles (diseases/conditions). Working with her guides and other master healers, Kate further expanded and honed her healing skills, easily flowing through five terminal conditions. In 2003, Kate founded Kate’s Holistic Healing, Inc. As a certified hypnotherapist, she works with an adult population. Her area of expertise is working with clients who have acute/chronic medical and emotional conditions. Through hypnotherapy, clients are taught to use their own bodies’ natural power to heal. Hypnotherapy is simply a miraculous, natural way to return the body to its proper healthy state with only wonderfully, unexpected side effects. As a born and bred New Yorker, Kate was raised in Spanish Harlem. She remains in Manhattan, living with her husband Tony and their cat Rinny. Her life’s path has been to learn, teach, and help others. She loves the energy created when working with clients, reintroducing clients to their guides, and when communicating with her spirit guides. In recent years, she has been channeling messages for herself as well as others from the Arcturians. Her biweekly television show, “Kate’s Holistic Healing,” can be seen on channel MNN2 on Mondays at 2:30pm EST.
