The 10,000 Adventures of Minnesota Dan series

During a horrendous mid-west snow storm, all the local schools are closed. A young boy, his three brothers and his friends decide to go cross-country skiing and enjoy the time off from school. The snow covered the little town in which they lived with a pure mantle of beautiful white snow. As they make their way through what seemed like a mystical forest, several of the boys can’t negotiate a turn and end up “wiped-out” and land in a snow bank. One of the boys, the one who was able to negotiate the turn,

waits for his friends to dust themselves off. As he waits patiently, he sees a majestic group of white tail deer. Mesmerized, he rand the deer stare at each other for what seems like minutes. Standing there, rather dumbstruck, he recalls something from a sermon that a priest once said about seeing God in all things. He begins to pray very quietly and offers a prayer to the deer and to God. As he and his brothers and friends return home, and are sitting by a cozy, roaring fire he says a silent prayer to God giving thanks for knowing that God is truly in all things.
