Simultaneous worlds with-in a world
The symbolic house with the white picket fence is fading away and being replaced by a picture postcard image of a log cabin in the mountains. These photos are posted on the social media with many responses like “I would give up everything to live there.” These responses indicate that the house with the white picket fence now represents an untenable debt with insecure incomes and a continually rising cost of living. The new symbolic picture postcard log cabin in the mountains offers freedom and the ability to get back to the basics with nature to find out what we would really like our lives to look like. You can have that long weekend in the mountains and change your life for the better starting right now. Combining your own assessment of education, training, and life skills with becoming enlightened is the system we have overlooked to find our niche area of satisfaction and the lifestyle to enjoy.
This era of globalisation is the world we live in now. The Internet and other related technologies are the systems we have learnt to use to do banking online, book our own flights, and choose which methods of shopping suit our needs. We enjoy instantly sharing information that we have at our fingertips, and we have become firmer regarding where we choose to do our business and what price we will pay. Job opportunities and wages have lagged behind in most countries, owing to the restructuring of governments and industries. So much effort has been placed on productivity in all areas of a company to remain successful by replacing old ways with new systems. Meanwhile, people’s inner requirements of satisfaction, security, enjoyment, and sharing rewards with their families have been overlooked. We can now take responsibility for these things ourselves; you will be surprised just how capable you are.
Every person, from the stay-at-home parent to the retiree, has the ability to become his or her own manager and learn how to use any new system which enters his or her life during this new era of globalisation. If we need to know more information about a certain subject, we can quickly find the information we require. Every person is just as capable as the larger companies to look at all areas of his or her life and make changes to bring about a rewarding situation and find a niche area of passion to remain successfully happy. When you are doing something you love, it becomes a lifestyle, which you may never retire from. You may think you are restricted by your location, but you have the Internet to market and freight systems at your doorstep.
This overlooked area of combining enlightenment with livelihood reveals our new ideas and enthusiasm, our confidence to make decisions, and our courage to overcome any obstacles. Imagine working in a company where the manager and marketing department were all enlightened to the workers’ requirements of happiness. This company would attract free recommendations from hashtags and likes and by popularity of customer choice. This company’s success would be shared by all employees as a lifestyle and a community of satisfaction.
The inner system of enlightenment has always been closer in our daily lives than what most people realise. We all enjoy the movies and remember famous wise quotes. Even our office desks or fridges may have on them philosophy quotes we aspire to. My tax accountant has five different affirmations on the wall; I am not sure if these are for the staff or for the customers. These fragments of guidance inspire us to have a healthy point of view. We can then become the wisdom itself and bring our daily lives into our own wisdom rather than the other way around.
This wisdom is so close it is even in the words we speak. Sometimes we say the exact answer to our own questions. Because our own insight has been supressed, we do not understand our own sentences. If you hear yourself saying a word a lot more than usual, look that word up in the dictionary to find the deeper meaning of that word. We speak with a poor expression of what we are really trying to understand. This could be because we are looking for a solution to maintain our living standard or to aim for our goals. You will find in the book form of a dictionary that the meaning of the words “look for understanding” is “to direct the mind or attention to try to find or seek, with the purpose of achieving the great power of recognising the truth beneath and covered by the exact place of one’s feet.”
It may still be hard to see the real message advising how to live a perfect life, so what it means is that with your attention of the mind and giving the mind direction, and with full trust in your own purpose, you have great power of recognising your truth, which is covered by the fears and doubts in the exact place where you are at any moment in your mind. So the wisdom to live a great life comes from the mind and nowhere else.
This recaps the introduction to be; we have become our own managers of all our own affairs and we can now also be the wisdom of all our own affairs.
