This is a true, unlikely story of a person and hawk who become friends for a summer. It describes how the author learned a valuable lesson from her observation of the hawk which she applied to her life. It is about how they got to know each other during their summer together and about dealing with loss.

About the Author

Christine Weidner is a composer, lyricist, director, musician, author, environmental activist, artist and former music teacher. She had a rare set of true experiences in a special moment of time and wishes to share this beauty and wisdom with children of all ages with wide open hearts. Christine lives in Delaware County, Pennsylvania with her husband Bob, son Ethan and their rescued dog Grace. She is a coffee lover, cook, baker, plant lover and loves to read books.
