About the Author
The author, Sandy Winnette, lives in the Fort Worth, Texas area. She was a regular contributor to Jean Warren’s Totline Publications, Warrren Publishing House – familiarly known as Piggyback Songs. Sandy has been a metaphysical teacher and lifecoach for many years. Sandy gets inspiration for her work from her dreams. She thanks her husband, Jim, for his encouraging her to write the first story of the first book. As for a personal editor, she also had a dream – that her editor would come to her on plane. And so it happened, Cathy Scofield, friend and personal editor, met Sandy on a flight from Phoenix to Hawaii. Plenty of time to get acquainted and realize common interests. Sandy is an animal lover and loves to include animals in her short stories. She started writing ‘In the Heart of the Forest’ in 2006. It was fun, and everyone who read it was excited. The stories continued, with seasonal adventures. Now as Sandy writes, the heroine in the original story has matured and is writing her own stories. It is amazing how the stories tell themselves.
