As I suck your love dry Promise me you will bring more sunshine to my life. What is he falling for? ~ He grieved to me with agony, "Why won’t you let me love you?" "Because you will fall." I replied with dismay. "I have already fallen for you." He acknowledged while placing my hands in his. But he didn't understand that if I let him in If I let him walk around in my heart He wouldn't be falling for me; rather he will be falling into holes. "What are those holes you speak of?" people asked me. Before I got to my answer "How does it feel to drive on a road that is permeated with cavity?" I asked rhetorically. Because going for a walk in my heart will feel the exact same way. The holes there formed from people who entered- then left without sympathy causing wounds. The fragile seed ~ No words could sugar coat the way she felt After her parents divorced, it wasn't as easy as she thought it would be It wasn't when things got brighter automatically It was like planting one seed and expecting the result of two. How could you depend on something so small to grow without watering it? She was caught down in between the roots of both ends Not knowing which end to choose to rely on And just after she had been planted She was moved elsewhere to grow. Are you not aware of how fragile the seed is once it's planted? It wasn't expected to grow as healthy But it did. There was something nobody could understand Was it a miracle or did the seed just take in the good from the bad?

About the Book
Around the age of sixteen, poet Zeinab Arjah fell upon great emotional turmoil. She turned to religion and found comfort in her faith, but she also turned to the written word. She posted many of her verses online in the hopes of reaching other people facing similar troubles in an effort to say, “You are not alone.”
Artificial Life, written over the course of two years, is a collection of her emotionally charged poetry. Each poem reveals a different level of darkness and sometimes light. Expressing good times or bad, her poems reverberate with the human condition, as we’ve all felt passion, love, friendship, and even the terrible pain of loss.
Her words are lyrical and filled with imagery. She speaks to the difficult reality of life and seeks to find hope even in the darkest of times. She bridges the gap between actuality and the realm of imagination, but even in the most fantastical of phrases, Arjah pursues the path of living a life filled with joy and peace.
About the Author
Zeinab Arjah found that, other than turning to God, writing helped her cope with her troubled thoughts. Later, she decided to be more creative and take poetry to a whole new level by writing about things in her imagination, as well.
