About the Author
Ellie Van Arsdale received a B.A. in English-Speech from American University in Washington, DC and an M.A. in education from Hunter College in New York, New York. She has taught high school English in Virginia and in Puerto Rico and all levels of ESL to college students in New York and Maine. She has served as a deacon and an elder in her church. At age twenty-nine, she became a single parent to two sons. She now has three granddaughters and will welcome her first great-granddaughter this coming July. Ellie lives in Southern California, where she continues to study and stay active writing, drawing, and painting.
