About the Author
David's journey has been one of profound pain and remarkable resilience. From the tender age of four, he witnessed his father's gradual health decline, culminating in his father's passing when David was just fifteen. Adding to this heartache, David endured severe emotional and physical abuse from his mother, leaving deep wounds in his inner child. At seventeen, he developed an anxiety disorder that persisted into adulthood. For 35 years, he struggled in silence, unaware of the true extent of his suffering. It took him another 15 years of seeking expert help, learning, and embracing a spiritual approach, including sobriety, to find healing. David's poetry emerged as a powerful outlet for expressing both his painful and joyous memories. This newfound creative expression blossomed shortly after his mother's passing in early May 2024. In an astonishing burst of inspiration, David wrote this book of poetry over the span of three weeks, often finding himself compelled to write late into the night, guided by what he believes was a higher power—his father. Through this spiritual connection, David was able to uncover his true story and finally attain peace and harmony in the universe.
