The book is divided into three sections, each focused on specific topic areas that comprise the POWER UP model for transformation. Every chapter reviews a step in the POWER UP framework and includes a set of prompts to reflect upon and use in journaling. At the end of each chapter is a set of POWER POINTS that summarize the key themes and highlights of the chapter. Journaling and self-reflection are a crucial part of this transformation process and so make sure to have paper, a journal or your favorite device easily accessible to capture your thoughts, feelings and learning as you move through the book.
The POWER UP framework for transformation includes seven steps to guide the reader in their personal development journey. Each chapter focuses on a single step in the process. Why is the book titled POWER UP? POWER UP is a mnemonic to help you remember the steps in this framework. It is an acronym and includes the following steps.

The book is divided into three sections, to allow the reader to move through the steps of the framework and learn its key concepts in a more organized and intuitive way. The first section is “Getting to Know You.” It is centered on helping you to build and strengthen your level of self-awareness. It will provide exercises and prompts to help you better understand what is most important to you and to develop a vision statement for yourself for the future. It also includes a chapter that will ask you to compare where you are in your current life to what you most desire for yourself in the future. Section Two is titled Power Play. It is focused on exposing your limiting beliefs and outdated narratives that you have developed over time and replacing them with a new way of thinking and experiencing yourself and the world. It will help you to become more empowered and understand where and when you have given your power to others. It will also compare masculine and feminine power models and provide you with an understanding of which model you most resonate with. The final Section, Rise and Shine, will provide you with tools to help to push yourself out of your comfort zone and into learning and growth zones using small cycles of challenges to build self-confidence and resilience. It will encourage you to adopt a possibility mindset and reach for your highest potential.
