In Iowa, at Grandma’s, the tree was planted in the back yard where it can be seen from the kitchen window. Birds, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, a fox and a Bald Eagle visited the tree. David, Gary and their friends played base ball by the tree. The tree grew as tall as David and Gary as their mother told them it would. Some day it will be taller than David and Gary and will give a lot of shade. It is a special gift. The tree is truly a friend to all!

About the Book
DAVID’S TREE is a true story of a little Ash Tree’s struggles as it grew to be a mature tree. The tree teaches about never giving up and being a friend to all. The tree also talks about the struggle of the Green Ash against the Emerald Ash Borer which has devastated the ash trees in the West and Midwest and is now on the United States East Coast.

As a teacher of 36 years, a teacher trainer, a Principal for 15 years, a Military wife and a mother of 4--she is always looking for a teachable moment that will impact the future behavior of all individuals.
