Canadian Heritage Poem Kana'da Tribe, Is This All Your Home? We land on this land, ice everywhere, it is 1534. Do you think they will like us? Indian what is your name? They don't answer, keep trying, they don't answer, I tell them mine. Europe told us they are Kana people. I think they are from Kana'da tribe. Indian where is your home? Pretend to do sleeping. The land is cold, our men are ghastly sick. We need food, danger lurks around us. They point and say, "Kanat'a" It looks like a small settlement. We travel up north. There are a hundred more, Indian where are all of you from? There regions, Hochelega, Iroquois, Oneida. We must make way. Europe is famished; our people are hit with a plague, we are so cold. Our history says ugly, we too have tribes and protect our own. But tomorrow when we get stronger, we will make way.

About the Author
Born in Zeynep Kamil Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey and of Canadian heritage since the age of one, Yildiz Ilkin has presented this work for pushing social betterment by gluing her years of hobby research on many various academic subjects. All which are and will be presented under the label of progressive environmentalism. The following poems were done under grueling house confinement and relatively quickly. The objective being to convince with legal might that we have not reach our better evolutionary plateau due to human invasiveness and mismanagement on land.
