Rise with the sun as the farmer’s gather their herd and the birds sing their song. With the energy from the sun you can be like a bird And sing your song—you can’t go wrong.
Our planet and other life forms are gifts from our Creator. We can help keep it up and make it greater.
I want to walk my walk and talk my talk until my last day, when I shall fade away.
I hope I show respect and leave no debt. I want to go with no regret.
So until I am laid to rest, I hope to do my best.
So my prayer for you is to rise with the sun, and we can all become one.

About the Author
I believe that I am not qualified to write from a formal education standpoint—having only a tenth grade education. My father committed suicide when I was seventeen, and I had to quit school. However, I do feel qualified to write because I write from my heart and believe this is the most important part about good writing. I have also written the book titled My Life Story: Tragedy and Spirituality. It talks about tragedy that I overcame and am now living life with a positive attitude. I believe that it is easier to get thru life’s problems, with a positive attitude. Another book that my husband Mike and are now writing is titled: Dream Big and Dream Bold. If you have a negative attitude and or believe that you can’t achieve your dreams, this book might help. Join Mike and I to support each other in fulfilling our dreams. I can relate to most of my poems because I am trying to grow spiritually. Also we are all on a journey to grow spiritually. In my mind it is the journey that is most important and not the destination.
I was born, raised, and lived in Michigan for fifty-five years. My sister, Beverly, currently lives in Michigan. My husband, Mike, and myself love it there. My heart and soul never left Michigan when we moved. We are currently living in Naples, Florida, close to Mike’s parents. We love it here too but really miss Michigan.
We have a dog named Marty and a bird named Rascal. Marty is the king of the house and Rascal is the queen. As you can probably tell, we are great animal lovers.
