Healing is neither pretty, easy nor comes in a perfect little package. It takes courage to forgive the people that enslaved our ancestors, profited from their enslavement, destroyed black families, raped, murdered and disassembled a rich culture. But, we must forgive and love all those involved in the slave trade and ownership of slaves and that includes Africans too. Also, you cannot lump all white folks together in a bucket. All white people aren't the same and they aren't all trying to keep you down and do you harm. And you may not want to hear this, but we, all living beings, are connected.
