"The Way They Heal Me is a beautifully written book that provides great insight into the thrill of motherhood including all the doubts, fears, joys, concerns, questions, lessons and sacrifices experienced along the way. Faith, peace and healing are themes weaved within the pages so intricately through both prose and poetry. The stories illustrated from the authors own experiences pull at the heartstrings of every woman who has ever wondered about her role as a mom. There is humor but also many tender moments that evoke a few tears.

As an almost empty nester, I thoroughly enjoyed the stories shared and can relate to many of them in raising my own daughters. An ever present theme in the book is that of the child as teacher. Truer words were never spoken.

I think this would be an excellent book for young women starting their own families, with all the same doubts, fears, questions and concerns that go with the territory. And for more seasoned mothers, this book will perhaps, encourage a greater understanding of some of the emotions we were never quite able to pinpoint when our own little ""teachers"" were young. While this is not an advice book, it would certainly provide some great insight for new mothers as they embark on one of the most beautiful journeys of their lives. "
