Science of Prayer

I am writing this book out of the compulsion to share an incredible and remarkable personal, mystical experience that can best be described as a full-blown spiritual awakening which started during the summer of 2005. Although I have been formally trained as a research scientist, I have spent most of my professional career as a farmer and businessman in Montana. I have never had the desire to write a book, but given the magnitude and significance of my experience, I believe that the events that you will read about in this book were not meant just for me, but for you as well. I feel as though I am being used as a messenger. Therefore, I am compelled to share them with you. The events I describe in this book are so startling and remarkable; it is hard even for me to imagine that they actually happened. These words are not meant to convert anyone to my way of thinking; I am just sharing my “truth” with you. Every reader will have to decide for yourself as to whether or not you choose to BELIEVE. This life-changing journey of spiritual awakening started out as a research project in an attempt to satisfy my inquisitive mind, and hopefully answer some questions I have wondered about for many years. What transpired not only answered some of my questions but far surpassed anything my imagination could have dreamed up. You have probably wondered about some of the same things I have, such as who you really are, what is your life’s purpose, whether or not this is your only opportunity at life and whether or not you are here all alone to face life’s constant challenges- or might there be a higher power to provide help. I am sure you, just as I, have been in difficult situations when you needed or wanted help but did not know to whom you could turn. You may have prayed half-heartedly to God for answers and guidance, only to hear silence. This book documents the events that started in 2005 at our family farm in Montana, when a prayer was answered with a vision at 3:00 am; an event that completely changed my life and belief system. I now know beyond any reasonable doubt that our prayers to God or a higher power are heard, and will be answered if at all possible. To be prepared to listen for and receive any guidance from the other side of the veil is a challenge we all face. I will describe what I did, and suggest exercises to help put yourself in the best possible situation to receive the guidance that I know you are being given. Because of these incredible experiences, I have undergone a complete paradigm shift in my thinking as to what our reality is living on the earth plane in a human body. As a trained scientist, my logical, skeptical and analytical left brain found it difficult to accept what was happening to me, which is why I did not discuss any of these experiences with anyone-not even members of my own family-for several months after the first event occurred; and then only with one family member for a year. In fact, some family members still don’t know the full extent of my experiences. The reason is simple, and it can best be described as fear of rejection by those who you love the most. I am sure that some of you have experienced something similar. However, as this revelation continues in my life, I feel compelled to share my exciting “truth” with you; a “truth” that will reaffirm the message that I believe Jesus Christ provided to humanity over 2000 years ago.
