For the Sake of Sharing

Grace. We only ever work to emulate Him: that which ia apart of us anaware, aware is most like him. That poem is merely a declaration and a ferverant prayer. The hope lies in our deepest desie to evolve, to do good, to do no harm: to experience that seemingly elusive evolution of the soul; the great awakening spoken of by scolars, monks and devotees alike. Take note: the last line is really a two fold statement; both a declaration and a question, as we could never be just like Him because not one of us is perfect, no matter how much we desire to aspire. We all fall short of perfection. Awareness is just a first step on a particular path. Not all paths lead in the same direction, which is to say, we all have the inalienable right of choice and free will. Seeking to have a personal relationship, the knowledge and heartfelt faith that Christ is the absolute truth, the epitome of LOVE in one's life; your inner most confidant and constant companion must always be the goal. How many ways can we express that knowledge mindfully or consciously and yet we find the idea fleeting, a bit of a disappointment for us in ourselves as our other relationships collide or combust and we fall short of our own aspirations. Our desire is to live the fairy tale and some of us seem always to look in the wrong places. Considering this then, the concept of identity; of being the archetypal friend or lover, is a precarious undertaking. These are the people we invariably look to as our knights in shining armor. When they fall off that horse, we are bankrupt, broken and in denial of the fact that the entire event was a collaborative venture. The American Heritage Dictionary: "Precarious; 1. Dangerously lacking in stability; 2. Subject to chance or uncertain conditions." You get the idea. Life is just a fairy tale, or is it? This is what we have been taught and some say programed to believe since childhood. Someone is eventually coming to save us or take care of us. Someone will save us from our sufferings and desperations and that someone will fulfill all our needs and protect us from harm, have our backs and give us the solutions to all of our problems. The real hope might be that we want to be saved from ourselves. The need to belong; yes, even the need to be known, recognized, respected as equal and desired is innate in our DNA. Thank God, and so we seek. It's all part of our blueprint.
