About the Author
Carolyn M. (Soper) Miehle B.A., M.Ed., Ed.D. is a retired Elementary/Secondary School Teacher, also on staff at Brock University part time as an Instructor in Teacher Training Courses in the area of Special Education. This is a special remembrance of her in-laws, Frank and Eva Miehle, as she was warmly accepted as part of their family in the early 1970’s. Frank Sr. shared many stories about their journey to Canada, the US, as immigrants to a new land. Carolyn shared a similar tribute to her Grandparents in “A British Immigrant’s Story”, quite a contrast to the German experience.
