About the Author

Kim Thompson is a wife and mother of three amazing children. She is a down-to-earth, yet adventurous home cook, master organic gardener, photographer, artist, certified integrative nutrition health coach, student of naturopathy for over 17 years, and past contributor to Tend Magazine. Kim has studied various traditional and modern dietary theories and brings this knowledge along with her from the garden into her kitchen and medicinal pantry. She is always prepared with a well-stocked cupboard and freezer, preserving what she can and of course, saving her organic, home-grown seeds! Growing up in an Italian, German, and English family, it was food that brought everyone together. Her path from the garden to the kitchen was a natural evolution throughout her life and nothing gives her greater joy than bringing smiles to the faces of family and friends with “homemade from the heart” fabulous food. She enjoys exploring all food cultures and the challenge of creatively juggling the dietary needs of the family. Time and again, Kim brings her zest for natural living to create inspiring dishes like those in Dandelions to Dinner, always incorporating any wild edibles and vegetables growing in her garden and yard.
