CHAPTER 1: THE DREAM
I awoke from the dream with a start, still experiencing the awful feelings.
Why, I asked myself, am I having this dream over and over? And most of all, what does it mean? Since the fall of 1982, every so often this dream would replay. It was now well into the summer of 1983 and still I could not understand.
The dream was always the same: I found myself outside on wide expansive fields with a few rolling hills and some trees, and a large crowd of people had gathered there. Someone near me asked what was happening, and I replied that I heard it was the end of the world. Everyone was looking up at the sky and there appeared Jesus. In the moment when that happened, I doubled over, falling down to the ground. I was experiencing the worst pain of my life, but it was not physical pain – it was heartfelt suffering and agony beyond words. And as I was doubled over, I kept saying, “But it isn't supposed to be this way! I thought the end of the world was supposed to be joyous.” And then the dream would end…

About the Book
In Memory of Don Edgar Lenz (1957–1983) In 1983, a recurring dream Paula had proved to be a precognitive warning. The sudden, shocking loss of her brother, Don, that year would come close to completely destroying Paula. She did not know, however, that his death would result in strange occurrences and outreach from him for the rest of her life. Three days after Don’s funeral, Paula had an out-of-body experience with her brother’s spirit while she was driving. The result was a visit to “infinity” and a change in her consciousness. Paula recounts stories about her brother from her family as well as from Don’s closest friends, painting a picture of a beloved brother, son, and friend. She hopes her story will provide comfort to those who have experienced the loss of someone they love deeply.
About the Author
Paula Lenz holds a BA degree from Sam Houston State University. Her career of more than 40 years includes high school English teacher, partner in woman-owned business, National Manager for a worldwide engineering firm, and Executive Director at a major Houston association.
