In this human life, there are a whole of things that happen, We are born, some get sick, go through hardships and pain and some even die. It would be suitable to all of us if we could choose the myriad of circumstances that occur in our human existence. It would relieve all of us if we could be given a multiple choice selection of the things we want to happen in our lives. I never imagined myself being sick and especially not to the point of dying. I was forty five years old with four beautiful healthy, intelligent and talented children. I had a caring and responsible husband who worked hard to give me and the children the comforts in life. We had a two story four bedroom two bath home on a wonderful lot with plenty backyard for the children to grow and play. I was doing what I loved to do best, travelling around the continental United States and to Europe, Africa and the Caribbean Islands. I am a singer a I am also and I enjoyed delighting myself and the hearts of others with my singing. I am also an ordained minister of the Gospel. Each time I travel I had the distinct pleasure of helping others through their difficult human experiences. I believed that my reaching out to others when things were going not so well the I could make a difference.

About the Book
If you’ve ever wondered if angels were real, if you have been fascinated with the supernatural, and if you have pondered whether there is any human on this planet that experienced a visitation from angels, then you would want to read my story. Just in case you may not fall into any of the above categories, I believe that this will still be a good read for you. It’s true, amazing, spiritually titillating, and full of excitement. This is a short journey with me into my story of a visitation with angels. This is my face-to-face miracle of healing and restoration from a tragic place of discomfort, devastation, and death. I believe that death is a transition that shall take place for all mankind, but the fear of dying no longer exist to me since I had my encounter. It was June 24, 1998. Something very strange occurred in my life. I died. I came back to life, and I treasure and cherish every moment that I can as I relate this beautiful story. Ever since I was a child, I have had supernatural experiences in my life. I have literally seen angels and had encounters with them. I have been aware of things before they happened, or see things that the natural eye cannot see or explain. I don’t mean to sound mystical or spiritually deep; I have had visits from angels. From the beginning of June 1998, I was aware that the angel of death was following me. It wasn’t this handsome fellow that you see on television shows. It was grotesques and ugly. Unlike what we imagine it to look like, it was a dark shadowy creature with no face or features, but I knew who it was. I was not afraid. I only wanted to stay in the land of the living because my children were so young and I didn’t want them to grow up without a mother.
About the Author
Dr. Carolyn McKinnon, recognized that she was called of God and set aside for ministry since she was nine years old. The sixth child born to God fearing parents, the late Elder Matthew Riley, Sr. and Missionary Martha E. Riley, Dr. McKinnon’s beginning with working with ministry was in her father’s church. She attended Manatee county public schools and graduated from Manatee High School in 1971. After her born again experience, in 1969, knowing that the Lord had called her for ministry, she went directly into ministerial training. She started working with the Henry L. Porter Evangelistic Association, Incorporated and the Westcoast Centers for Human Development. For over forty years, she has been dedicated to the work of the ministry of Jesus Christ. Dr. Mckinnon was ordained as a minister of the Gospel on December 16th, 1983. In 1991, Dr. McKinnon, received an Honorary Doctor of Music degree, from the Trinity College of Ministerial Arts, Aba, Nigeria, West Africa in accordance with the Golden Gate University, Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Mckinnon has traveled nationally and internationally since 1973. Her travels have taken her throughout the continental United States, the Caribbean Islands, Europe, East Africa, West Africa and South Africa. Dr. McKinnon has conducted workshops, seminars, conferences, concerts, revivals and crusades. Whether she’s in a small church, a large auditorium, university or college campus, she delivers a complete word from the Lord and a song that will ignite the souls of thousands. Dr. Mckinnon feels the need and responsibility to educate the people of God. She is a mouthpiece for the Lord and speaks a word of truth. The body of Christ is edified and the word brings them into the unity of the Spirit of God and helps to advance their everyday lives and souls are added to the kingdom of Christ. Dr. Mckinnon has recorded over 12 albums with the Westcoast Gospel Chorus of Florida. Dr. Mckinnon performed at the White House during the Clinton Administration during the Christmas Holidays. She has appeared on Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel Show, shared the stage with Pastor Shirley Caesar, The late Andre Crouch and his sister Sandra Crouch, the late Albertina Walker, the late Bishop Walter Hawkins, Dorothy Norwood, Dottie Peeples, Yolanda Adams, the Williams Brothers and many others. Dr. McKinnon is the founder of “A Voice To Be Heard” Ministry, Incorporated, a religious, educational, and charitable outreach to teach, mentor, train God’s people and to help increase the body of Christ, through the winning of souls, gospel music and through sound doctrine of Jesus Christ. Dr. McKinnon is also a senior Pastor with Lighthouse Ministries and Outreaches, Incorporated, founded by Bishop Charles E. Daniels, Bradenton, Florida. Dr. McKinnon is the mother of four adult children, which she feels is one of her greatest achievements, Matthew (Nalija), Marta, Mydra and Myllanna McKinnon. She is a board member for Westcoast CHAMPS, (Children’s High Achiever’s Programs and Studies), a music program for youth and young adults. Dr. Mckinnon resides in Bradenton, Florida.
