Beliefs and Intentions
Your Intention can change our life
Like many people, my prayers at one time consisted of asking God for whatever my desire happened to be at the time I was praying. If that didn’t work, I coerced or tried to make a deal. When that fell on deaf ears, I tried begging and when all else failed, I became very angry at God. The nuns in Catholic School always said, “If you pray, God will hear you and will answer you.” Of course, when things did not work out the way it was anticipated, the response was; “well sometimes the answer is no.” Many times prayers are perceived not to be answered because we place a tremendous amount of doubt and negative energy into our subconscious during our prayers. Never underestimate the power of prayer. How could it be possible for prayers not to be answered if we share God’s energy? There is scientific evidence why prayer has to work. The spark of God’s energy that is within us is such that it can move mountains. A scientific study at San Francisco General Hospital conducted by Dr. Byrd clearly showed the power of prayer. The study conducted on heart patients gave clear statistical evidence that the group that was prayed for, with or without the patient’s knowledge, had a much better survival rate and healed much faster than patients who were not prayed for.
How did that happen? The answer is that the frequency of energy people projected can in fact heal the body. Prayer and meditation means spending time alone in silence, separating ourselves from the world and its daily distractions, such as the phone, computer, radio, TV, cell phones, iPads, etc. and spending the time looking within. Prayer and meditation are necessary for us to align the soul with the energy of the Creator. When our energy is in a healthy harmony with the universe, disease cannot be maintained, and the body naturally heals itself. Our soul nudges us to align our energy and becomes evident when major life changes take place such as a divorce, job loss, sickness or serious illness. These are heavily burdened periods in our life, but they give us the time necessary to search for God.
I vividly remember the night I was sitting in my bedroom all by myself. My children were all asleep and I was three days away from my house being foreclosed. It had been several months since I had lost my job and my bills were piling up. The situation was dire. I sat and asked God to allow me to feel He exists and that He is love. And then it happened. My bedroom was suddenly filled with millions of gold particles of light. It was very bright, but yet it didn’t hurt my eyes. I thought I was going crazy and got really scared for a moment. As a terrific peace came over me, I felt this warmth, this awesome, wonderful feeling of love that I had never felt before. God’s presence was so strong that one can actually feel his energy, his warmth, and his divinity. It felt like being in a cocoon of warmth and love. Every part of my being felt the light within and felt the oneness with God. There is nothing on this earth that can even remotely compare to or come close to the feeling I had that night. It was amazingly beautiful to feel our Creator’s grace and love for me. I felt the sweet, peaceful, loving flow of God’s energy through my entire body. Since that experience, my prayer time has been different. It is a peaceful time that I look forward to just being in the presence of God, my best friend. Being alone with God and listening to the soul is the most powerful and beautiful experience one can have. From the very first time that I experienced it, asking God for “stuff” was no longer important because I understood that whatever I really want I can manifest into my life. There is no such thing as “no” from God, only a much better “yes.” Having Him answer my prayers was not the reason I sat down to pray. Just feeling His presence and feeling this love was more rewarding than anything material or physical I could have ever wanted. The energy of love is indescribable and most incredible. Sometimes it feels like the whole body is covered with warmth. At the same time there is an absolute peace that comes over the mind and body. It is not an experience that can be adequately put into words because words are too limiting in their description to give it justice. But the profound effect it has on the person is unshakeable. I have never been the same since. Now when things are not quite as pleasant as I would like them to be or people hurt me, I just go within and remember the ultimate feeling of love I received from God and the outside world seems pretty trivial. Please don’t think that after this experience all my problems disappeared. Although outwardly to people nothing had changed, I was now different in my heart. It is during the intimate, precious times we spend with God that we can see our life purpose. God, in no uncertain terms, reveals our soul and life purpose to us. The choice is then ours. The purpose of prayer is not to ask God for things or have him fix things, although he does that anyway if we ask. The true purpose of prayer is to lift up our consciousness, to allow our spiritual reality to manifest. I love to spend time at the beach and shut the door to the world and meditate. It is my time to raise my awareness, to be in union with God and pray in the spirit. In the silence we can hear and truly understand the soul.
Prayer, then, is a means to tap into the universal energy of the creator, to feel the love of our creator, and to allow ourselves to align our will with the universal truth. What we think and ask for will be imparted on us. When we feel our prayers are not being answered it is because we have “spiritual blocks”. Our energy within is misaligned and cannot flow freely to connect with the Divine energy. On the flipside, when prayer is answered it is because the person has moved his belief and determination to be in alignment with his highest good. Our belief and our intention determines the extent of our manifestation, and consequently of our experiences in life. We must truly believe that which we are praying for. In effect, when we ask in spirit and meditation, we are claiming the abundance that we already have within us as a spirit, as part of our spiritual fingerprint and soul DNA. We have to believe this with our whole being. When we ask God in spirit, we are posing the problem to the subconscious mind. When we perceive God not answering, we are negating the possibility of the prayer being answered because the negative thinking takes over what otherwise would be manifested from the spirit. When we pray, our energy or aura gains in intensity, which means that the frequency or vibration created by the energy is accelerated, thereby intensifying our aura in color and brightness. A good analogy is enzymes in the body. Enzymes function to speed up chemical reactions. When an enzyme is added to a chemical reaction the process goes to completion much faster because the molecules interact and vibrate faster. Prayer and meditation serve as the enzymes of our spiritual energy. Prayer speeds up the vibration of our energy, thereby raising our consciousness to be in alignment with God. The more we pray and the more spiritual we become, the more faith we have, the more intense our energy field, the faster our desires are manifested in the physical. When we have doubt and fear or lack of faith, the intensity of our positive energy diminishes and our prayers seem not to be answered.
Prayer has the power it has because every prayer is for the expansion of the soul. Our bodies relax when we are meditating in prayer. When the body relaxes, there are physiological and chemical changes that occur due to the positive energy we are creating. This in turn creates molecules such as endorphins which, in turn, create health benefits we can experience at the physical level. This is how the body has the ability to heal. The energy blockages are
