Day 13 Why do people betray me? “Betrayal is suffered by those who do not deserve to be betrayed. Trust is linked to faith and is blessed. When trust is misplaced, it is no reflection upon the one who has trusted for they are sacred in their faith. The Universe erases the betrayal of the betrayer and only sees the faith of the trustee. So it should be with you. See the one who has betrayed you as lacking in faith, lacking in sacredness and in need of healing. The reality of this scenario is opposite of what happens in your illusion of reality. The one who has been betrayed feels as though they need the healing because they are in pain. But in the Truth of the matter is that those who do not value the sanctity of trust need the healing. You must release them to Us to be healed as this is part of their course.” A Poem for Quiet Reflection There is a crimson rose upon my window sill Its branches Love to climb and ramble I became intoxicated by the sweetness of this flower’s smell And therefore became pinned within its brambles A bush that was planted with deep Love and caring devotion I snipped a cutting for my own pleasure While I walked along the cliffs above the ocean This unassuming rose became a deeply cherished treasure I often wonder as I pluck the spiny thorns from my fingertips Perhaps it was not so wise or so discerning To eagerly press its soft petals to my lips The biggest challenge one of self-judgment and painful learning The enjoyment of its fragrance has proven both sweet and savory This bush firmly rooted within my sacred garden Unpredictability proves to be a great test of relationship bravery As I learn to keep my heart open and not let it harden One asks is it wise to hack down a work of art A gift of friendship from my Beloved Creator Is it not righteous thoughts that keep us apart? And therefore my choice for forgiveness will be greater Questions for Contemplation 1. What are my feelings about the word “Trust”? 2. How do I see the world – is it a “dangerous” place in which I need to be careful? Or is it a place in which I can be authentic and open with all whom I meet? 3. How are my thoughts of betrayal being reflected back to me in my daily life? 4. What are my feelings about God guiding me and supporting me through all situations? 5. If I believe that God is always with me and supporting me, how do I feel that anyone can ever destroy my True Self? A Prayer just for Today Help me to see that the emotional pain I am feeling is my choice I have the ability to choose my experiences Yes I am sad, and I pray for healing I relinquish all thoughts of fear, unworthiness or shame Please heal my mind and open my heart to trust Let me see my own beauty and the Love I bring to every situation Guide me to forgiveness so that I can allow my soul to grow Most of all let me always be open to Love For without it, I will never have the depth of the experience that I long for Mantra I am always whole within the Eye of God
