About the Author

What happens when we start believing in what we know to be true on the inside? Sandra is a person who has witnessed the power of prayer and intention transform her life. What a trip! Her journey into becoming a Massage Therapist and Reiki Master have taught her that who we are is less about who we "say" we are, and more about how we show up. It is reflected in every act, every choice. Upon receiving her Reiki III Master Certification, Sandra attended a drum circle. While Sandra was drumming, there was a woman who began seizing and foaming at the mouth. Without thinking, Sandra's body lifted herself, carrying her to this woman. Sandra casually walked over and a group of strangers stood with hands and intention placed on her. Falling right into it, Sandra looked around her from where she placed her hands on this woman on the sand. Above and around her, other healers, stepping up to heal. Some just held their hands in the air, holding the invisible bubble of healing which surrounded this woman. The drumming continued, as if nobody else experienced that this woman was in trouble. Sandra witnessed this woman's journey from darkness and curled-up-ness to openness and calm. Sandra felt herself, remaining stable and secure in her belief that this woman would be fine and that Sandra's presence meant anything at all. " Who am I when nobody is watching? Whether we "did" anything or not, we were there and this woman's experience could be witnessed. That's the moment I understood that Reiki meant "I am". Healing becomes us. We heal, simply by showing up with the intention to do so". When she remembers to look at the world in this way, she witnesses miracles and synchronicities in her daily life and is moved to share this with others. Her body becomes an instrument in the hands of spirit, as she dances on the sand Communing with this energy, Sandra returns to her day-to-day life, bringing healing love and intention as an intentional Massage Therapist and Reiki Master. Attending drum gatherings has changed Sandra's life forever. Praying for strangers, she witnesses the universal power and beauty that is flowing through every moment at the magical drum circles she never before knew existed. "I feel that the drum circles recharge my batteries. I have a place to let go of my stress and fall into the rhythm that gently guides us in harmony. I go with the intention that I bring something healing for others to absorb and take with them. I always leave feeling better than I did when I got there, so something's workin'!"
